Porter County Drunk Driving Task Force recognizes Burns Harbor Officer Tim Lucas as top cop in DUI arrests in Porter County
December 17, 2015 | Joyce Russell | nwitimes.com Stopping drunk drivers before they hurt someone is personal for Burns Harbor police officer Tim Lucas.
"My mom was struck by a drunk driver in the early 1980s," Lucas said at Thursday's awards banquet honoring Porter County police officers who made the most drunk driving arrests this year.
Lucas topped the list with 45.

IACT Community Achievement Award
In October 2015, the Town of Burns Harbor was named a 2015 IACT Community Achievement Award winner by the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns (IACT) for its community visioning process in the less than 4,000 population category.
