Eric Hull

Mr. Hull was appointed to the Town Council mid-2015 and later elected into the Council, taking office in January 2016. He serves as the Town Council Vice President, where he also holds the positions of Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC) Liaison and Burns Harbor Fire Department Liaison. Additionally, he is a member and Master Development Plan Liaison of the Redevelopment Commission and serves as the Plan Commission President. Previously, he served on the Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.

He is a graduate of Portage High School, and later earned his associate degree in broadcast production technology from Vincennes University. He also completed professional continuing education classes at Purdue University Calumet.

Professionally, Mr. Hull is a Division Manager of the Chicagoland market for Cranemasters, Inc.'s Merrillville-based office. He has held the role for the past four years for the company that specializes in emergency response for train derailments. In total, he has dedicated 14 years to the field. Most recently, he received both the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Seven Seals Award and Patriot Award in recognition of leadership and support of the United States National Guard and Military Reserve Forces.

He has lived in Town since 2008 with his wife, Rachael, and has six children: Katie, Meghan, Morgan and Gabby Hull and Alex and Ethan Miller. "I grew up in the area and I've always seen the potential for growth in Burns Harbor," Mr. Hull said. "I hope to help lead that growth and improve the Town for my kids and their kids. I want that growth to be structured and continue that wholesome family environment we already have. Burns Harbor should be more than a drive-through. I hope to help bring something special to Town."
